Nancy J. W. Porter

In March 2007, Nancy Porter took on the role of Coordinator of Community for All Ages at People Plus.  Before taking this position, Nancy served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at People Plus, working to organize and develop the Elder Education in Financial Literacy Project (EEIFL).  The EEIFL Project brought together numerous collaborative community partnerships to address the financial exploitation and victimization of low-income older adults in Brunswick.

After a twenty-four year career in nursing, Nancy became a professional social worker, focusing on the field of aging, community organizing and development, research, grant writing and community service.  She received her B.S. in Organizational Management and her Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of New England.  Nancy currently participates on several local advisory councils and serves as a Field Educator to the University of New England School Of Social Work.
