How You Can Help!

CFAA needs volunteers of all ages! Both individuals and organizations are welcome. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Nancy Porter at nancy@peopleplusmaine.org.

The following are some of our upcoming projects.  We need project leaders, project participants and project workers:

  • Intergenerational Community Garden
  • Pen Pal Project
  • Intergenerational Art Project (Continued/Expanded)
  • Educational Mentor/TutorsMulti Generational - Interactive Theatre Production

You can also volunteer to work with the CFAA Steering Committee or one of its sub-committees:

Asset Mapping Committee
Asset mapping is the process of identifying and mapping the resources (assets) of a community.  The mapping process enables a community to mobilize its resources to provide understanding in community collaboration in the development of a community vision and mission.

Public Awareness Committee
The Public Awareness Committee is focused on developing the message for the CFAA initiative and getting it out to the public.  Once the initial message development is finished, the primary work will be around promoting specific events.

Grants Committee
The Grants Committee is identifying opportunities for getting additional grants to further support the work of the CFAA initiative.

Civic Engagement Committee
The Civic Engagement Committee is working to identify intergenerational activities that already exist in the community and promoting them as well as developing new ideas and ways in which these interactions can take place.
