The Harpswell Historical Society is dedicated to the discovery, identification, collection, preservation, interpretation, and dissemination of materials relating to the history of Harpswell and its people.

Town History

The Harpswell Historical Society is seeking  artifacts, printed material and photographs pertaining to Harpswell History and/or Harpswell residents.  We are especially interested in compiling a collection of Harpswell town reports, news items from newspapers which deal with Harpswell (especially articles by Margaret Todd), yearbooks from Brunswick High School up to 1974 and from Mt Ararat High School from 1974 thru the present and artifacts from the many social organizations which existed in Harpswell (Redmen, Grange, Odd Fellows, Freemasons, Knights of the Golden Sword, Kings Daughters,  etc.).
