Union Church WeddingsThe interdenominational Union Church located on Route 123, Harpswell, ME is preserved and maintained by the Harpswell Garden Club. Built by ship carpenters in 1841, the church has simple but handsome Greek Revival proportions and Gothic Revival details. It was restored by the Garden Club in 1952 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The interior of the Church is true to its original construction with a mahogany pulpit and solid pine pews and floors. The church seats 160 people. It is available for weddings and special events from May through October, generously adorned with seasonal flowers grown in local gardens and arranged by club members.
