The goal of the Brunswick Food Pantry is to provide food assistance to individuals and families who are either in a crisis or unable to purchase adequate amounts of food due to a lack of financial resources. In order to be eligible for this program, a household’s total monthly income must be less than 120% of the poverty guidelines established by the U.S.Government. Proof of income is required. Consumers at risk for hunger can access the Food Pantry twice per month, with fourteen days between visits. On the first visit, consumers are provided with meats, fruit, vegetables, bread and a box of non-perishable food items such as soups, cereals, pasta, etc. On the second visit of the month, consumers receive only meats, fruit, vegetables and bread products.

In addition to assisting our clients, we have also assisted the Tedford Shelter, Bath/Brunswick Child Care Services, Shoreline Mental Health, Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Topsham, Freeport Community Services, the American Red Cross in times of emergencies, Family Crisis Shelter and St. Philip's Food Pantry in Wiscasset.
