Join the fight against hunger in the mid coast area by becoming a volunteer in the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.
FOOD BANK: If you own a truck or van, you can help collect produce, meats and bread products from local supermarkets from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Volunteers are also needed to sort food and prepare food boxes for distribution to clients in our Food Pantry. For information, call Lorraine Johnstone at 725-8647.
FOOD PANTRY: Volunteers are needed to help distribute food to clients, enter client information on our computer and assist with carry out. Hours are Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For information, call Pam Gryspeerd, Director of the Food Pantry, at 725-1151.
SOUP KITCHEN: Volunteers are needed to help cook, serve meals and help with clean up. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For information, call Mary Biette at 725-2247.
