LIFE SKILL WORKSHOPS

WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE community Health Partners of Parkview Hospital, the Kenduskeag Foundation and the Nine Wicket Foundation, we have been able to offer Life Skill/Wellness Workshops focused on assisting low-income households become more self-sufficient. These workshops, which have been held once per month, have covered such topics as Money Management, Healthy Lifestyles, coping with Depression and Stress, How to Assess Your Job Skills and Interview for a Job, Managing Diabetes, etc. To date, our average attendance is 40 participants. Participants receive an $8.00 “Food Only’ Gift Certificate to Shaw’s or an $8.00 Gift Certificate to Grand City. We believe that by providing food assistance education and working with the private sector to create opportunity, we are fulfilling our mission of fighting hunger in the greater Brunswick area.

Like all non-profits, this agency is governed by a Board of Directors who are committed to this agency’s mission of reducing hunger in the greater Brunswick area.
