Bread is available on a daily basis to take home.
When the Soup Kitchen opened in January of 1983, three people came for lunch. Currently, the Soup Kitchen is averaging 100 meals per day. Since the Soup Kitchen’s humble beginnings in 1983, its goal has always been to provide individuals and families in the greater Brunswick area with the opportunity to access at least one hot, balanced meal per day, Monday through Friday. Over 120 volunteers prepare and serve a nutritious lunch for individuals and families in need. Approximately 35% of the persons coming to our Soup Kitchen on a regular basis are senior citizens. In fact, the Agency has been designated a Senior Congregate Meal Site by Senior Spectrum.
